What is Sketchfest Chicago?

The second annual Sketchfest Chicago at the Home Comedy Theater will be a weekend celebrating the art of sketch comedy. From absurd irreverent comedy, to more grounded thoughtful work, we want to see it all

Where and when is the festival?

Sketchfest Chicago will take place at the Home Comedy Theater from September 30-October 3rd 2026.

Any tips for getting in?

We want to see your best stuff! Try to put it first in your demo reel (YouTube or Vimeo format.) We’d love to see footage of a live performance; we wanna hear those laughs and see how you do in front of an audience! Try to stay away from sizzle reels and submit full sketches, not just clips of them. Make sure you can be seen and heard clearly. And finally, submit early! We expect a lot of submissions, so save some money and stand out by being one of the first to be reviewed!

We are hoping to let all teams know either way by July.
